Hey guys,

I'm just posting this to get a feel for which cities most of us come from. Originally SDmoto was started with many members from UCSD in La Jolla, CA. But as our website has expanded I understand that people find that our group rides may be a bit of a commute to even start with.

To better aid our future SDmoto rides please list what city you're based in, what types of rides you prefer (cruising, canyons, track riding, etc.), and how far you are willing to commute on an SDmoto ride.

This way I can get a better idea of what is most popular and organize rides accordingly. Hopefully we can get a more consistent cohesive group.

To start things off I can say i'm based in La Jolla, CA, prefer canyons and track riding, and am open to commute anywhere from 50-200miles roundtrip on an SDmoto ride.

Interested to see how this turns out!

Well...this is my first post and am super excited about this forum. My man just bought a bike from one of our fellow contributors. Not sure her username on here but she told me about this site. I've been looking for a club to join to start to get to know the biking community. Both my man and I ride Suzuki SV650s, his Vanessa mine Pebbles. We live in Encinitas but I work in La Jolla. I am always looking for people to ride with. The longest trip I have done is maybe 60 miles but I am always up for longer rides its just the opprotunity hasn't been there. As far as roads, I like mountain rides, track rides are fun to but my bike isnt track ready and that's take far to much money to make it track ready. Hit me up if you ever want to ride. Look for me throughout SD I'm riding the Copper.

Congratulations on the new bike and welcome to the site.

IMO I think we should stick to the Palomar, Julian, Telegraph (have we done one of these yet??), and maybe the occasional Ortega rides.  Around 150 miles and a half day of of riding is the limit for me. I would be up for a repeat of your saturday palomar ride this time if you guys decide to go again.

Welcome Laaaren. I just got an SV too. Awesome bike with very usable power band. post pics if you have any  Smiley.

The Costa Verde Chevron meeting point works for me. The 2nd meeting point off Via Rancho should work for most North county people when we do rides up there.

In addition to Telegraph there's also Highway 94.

it doesnt really matter to me where rides start or want to start.

Usually they start where ever the organizer wants them to.

Should have my license squared away by Tuesday so if you guys wind up going to Palomar on one of the days I have off/can get off I would love to jump in line. North County coastalish here (Vista) So anywhere near here and I am in provided I am not working.
