Pretty interesting, crazy to see how many times that bike rolled over during the highside.

They were photos taken by Cali Photography.  http://caliphotography.com

You too can have pics taken by him if you ride at Willow or Chuckwalla.

The track is still pretty dirty  and the rubber is getting laid down as well.  We have had a lot of people in the shop who ran the last couple of days and they are all smiling wide.  Track sounds like its a lot of fun.  Bring some race rubber because this track is still a little cold.

Without laughing too hard, can someone tell me what a "high side" is?
Just started riding in October, bought my second bike, and my finacee just bought one from someone one this site who recommended I get some insites and meet the sd crew...Shout out to Angela!!! Whoop WHoop

a high-side is basically when you are thrown off the bike....usually caused when you're in a turn....rear wheel slides out....you let off the gas....rear wheel catches back on....and violently throws you over the bike.
a better description on how it actually happens (contributed by motorcyclenut in another thread):
High sides are caused by braking (in a turn) when the front and rear tires are not in alignment. Since your rear tire started to slide, you could of continued to let it slide, and you would of low sided instead. Applying the brakes or letting off the throttle while your rear tire was sliding is what caused you to high side. Of course, real reason your rear tire started to slide (cold or not) was the most common reason single rider accidents happen: the entry speed for the turn was too fast.

a low side is basically the same thing....except instead of letting off the gas....you keep the gas on....rear wheel continues to slide....and you go down with the bike.
